So you’re thinking about hiring a VA to help you with your small business and gain some of your time back from your business to either invest more time in your business, or invest more time in your family. That’s awesome!
Work with MelodieFaery
How do you know that I’m a good fit for your business, how do I know you’re a good fit for mine? First fill out the form below, and in the message box give a brief overview of what you’re hoping to have me take over in your business. Once I get the email, and I know I’ll be able to help you, then I will send you an email to make an appointment for a discovery call.
What’s a discovery call? Well, its just a 15 minute or so meeting where we meet face to face, and we’ll expand on what you want to do with your business. We’ll chat about what’s expected, and rates, and hours. This call shouldn’t take a very long time, and we’re checking each others vibes during this time as well. If either one, at the end of the call, feel like we can’t move forward with the contract, that’s okay! It’s nothing personal, but sending an email to the other person will be helpful so they know that they need to move on in their search.
I will draw up a contract, and have it sent to be signed by both parties. Make sure to check to make sure all the information is accurate, some sometimes mistakes happen.
What do I Need to have Ahead of Time?
All you know is that you need help, and just knowing that all by itself can be overwhelming. So we’ll stop and a second to breathe and brainstorm what tasks you can give a virtual assistant.
Start by making a list of things that you LOVE to do in your business. These are the things that bring you the most joy, and fill your cup even on the days where you’re feeling a little bit meh. Next, you’ll write down the things you like doing, but could give to someone else – they may take a lot of time, but you enjoy the task, even though you know that its eating a lot of your time in the day. Make a note of any tasks that are like that. Last, you’re going to write down the task you hate with all the passion in the world. There is ZERO shame in write things down under this category. Not one person likes every single part of their business, and that’s okay.
If I could’ve hired someone to do the shipping for me, when I had my clothing boutique, I 100% would’ve. I could never afford it, so it was left to me. But I hated it. Mostly dealing with the stupid printer, and the printing program itself.
Write down those tasks you hate. Then look at the three columns. You’re probably going to keep doing the things you love. You love them, and they bring you joy. Keep your joy. Unless you can’t do it anymore, for whatever reason, of course. Look at the tasks you like, and the tasks you hate. Which tasks can be done online? Which of these tasks do not need your face to show? Those are the task that are good candidates for a virtual assistant to do.
These can include:
- making social media graphics
- scheduling social media posts/videos
- responding to comments on social media posts
- responding to customer service emails
- working on your new email newsletter
- and so much more!
Another thing to think about is how big your monthly budget could be for paying a virtual assistant to help you with your business.
Rates
My rates right now have an hourly base rate of $35/hour. We can discuss more in the discovery call.
We can discuss how many hours a month you want me to work for you, and use the base pay of $35/hour to figure out what the total monthly cost that will be billed to you each month.
